Adelia Rodger - Kayak Guide

Adelia Rodger

Kayak Guide

Adelia is a wilderness, guide who is passionate about connecting to people and place. She is an enthusiastic learner, avid paddler, and nurturing teacher.

Adelia was born and raised in the Maritimes, where she spent summers at the cottage trying to convince her parents to let her adopt hermit crabs as pets.

Her love of nature led her to complete an Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation at Lakehead University. A two-week kayaking trip on Lake Superior stoked a new passion and prompted Adelia to pursue training to become a sea kayak guide. Now a Level 2 Sea Kayak Guide, Adelia loves sharing in the joy that comes from travelling across the water under one’s own power.

Adelia continues to live by the ocean, but has traded the Atlantic for the Pacific. She now lives in Vancouver, BC, where she recently completed her Bachelor of Education. When she’s not a student, a teacher, or a student teacher, Adelia loves cooking, reading, and any adventure that gives her an excuse to sleep in a tent.
