Dan is an avid outdoorsman who spends as much time as possible pursuing adventure. He loves backcountry skiing, climbing, and the thrill of polar travel.

Dan is an outdoor guide from Kamloops, British Columbia. On expedition Dan’s primary roles are driving Zodiacs, bear monitoring, and working behind the scenes to make the expedition run smoothly. His areas of interest include photography, botany, ornithology—and adventure.

Hailing from Kamloops, British Columbia, Dan has been a part of Adventure Canada expeditions since 2012, when he came aboard as a passenger with his father, Adventure Canada founding member Dave Freeze. He found employment with the company two years later and now joins multiple expeditions every season. He led his first Adventure Canada expedition in 2018.

Post-secondary, Dan studied at Thompson Rivers University, earning an Adventure Guide Diploma in 2015 and a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies focused in Outdoor Adventure Education in 2017. In the winter, he works in the backcountry ski industry, and has been working as an apprentice guide at Mustang Powder for the past two years. In his free time, Dan enjoys rock-climbing, backcountry skiing, kayaking, backpacking, and spending time in the interior of British Columbia and Alberta.
