Shane grew up on the south coast of Ireland with a love for the outdoors and a thirst for the sea. His passion for adventure fuelled his early 20s compelling him to travel across Europe and Asia as a Divemaster, teaching eager tourists how to scuba dive.
His fascination with what lies beneath the ocean’s surface prompted him to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Freshwater and Marine Biology, from which he graduated with honours. His recent years have been spent working in the field of biology as a wildlife/laboratory technician for Acadia University in Nova Scotia.
When not in the lab or the field, Shane enjoys sports, fishing, and kayaking and can be found travelling just about anywhere he can get to always eager for adventure, Shane enjoys exploring any and all places he can.
