Katie grew up in New Brunswick where her love for the outdoors started. She moved to Toronto, Ontario for school where she got her Bachelor’s in Journalism with a minor in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University.
Once completing her first degree, she immediately jumped into the Special Events Management program at George Brown College, where she learned she was more suited to organizational roles. After having a hard time finding a job in the competitive events industry, she shifted her focus to tourism and found her passion.
She completed her third degree in Tourism Travel Services Management throughout the COVID-19 lockdown period and is excited to dive into this new chapter with Adventure Canada.
In her free time, Katie enjoys binge-watching true crime documentaries, throwing axes, camping, and planning the next of her many future trips. She believes life is short and it’s important to make the most of every opportunity that comes your way.
