Julian Morse is a lifelong northerner with deep connection to his hometown of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. He is serving in his second term on the Yellowknife City Council and has a background in environmental resource management.
In his spare time, he is an avid sailor, having led numerous multi-week expeditions into the east arm of Great Slave Lake, which boasts some of the most spectacular and remote freshwater sailing in the world.

Julian is an experienced outdoorsman with extensive experience in and around boats, including whitewater canoeing, sea kayaking, and various motorboats, on top of his passion for sailing.
He is also an experienced subsistence hunter and has participated in hunting expeditions across the various landscapes of the Northwest Territories. He lives on a houseboat in Yellowknife Bay with his husky Jake.
