Jennifer Williams

Program Director

Jenn is a teacher and adventurer, facilitating cross-cultural education opportunities on shore and at sea for over twenty years.

Jenn is a trained teacher, world adventurer, and relationship builder, and is committed to facilitating a sense of wonder about, and cultivating respect for, our world and its inhabitants. She has been providing cross-cultural experiential education opportunities for people of all ages both on land and at sea for more than twenty years.

Jenn’s shipboard career began in her twenties as the mascot Funship Freddy aboard Carnival Cruise Lines, and she hasn’t been able to tear herself away from the salt air since. From 2010 to 2014 she sailed the globe as Shipboard Director for Class Afloat, a floating high school and university program aboard the Sorlandet, a traditionally rigged Norwegian tall ship. She joined Students on Ice in 2016 and has managed several Arctic expeditions aboard the Ocean Endeavour for youth from all over the world.

Additionally, Jenn held the role of Participant Coordinator on the West Coast of the Canada C3 project (Toronto to Victoria via the Northwest Passage, as part of Canada’s 150th anniversary of confederation).

Jenn is passionate about helping people uncover passions, build confidence, and explore what it means to be human. When she's not working you can typically find her outside cycling, skiing, paddling, or reading a book under a tree.
