Alex is passionate about food—she loves eating, growing, and cooking. Before joining Adventure Canada, she worked for four years in the small-scale organic farming world, where she supported diverse ecosystems, using regenerative and ecological practices to grow food that would feed local families. She treats cooking and feeding people as her love language.
She loves to travel and has spent three months backpacking from Mexico City to San José, Costa Rica, consuming many local dishes along the way. She studied English literature at the University of Toronto. She is a music enthusiast, kitchen dancer, and avid podcast listener. When she is not in the garden, she can often be found curling up with a cup of coffee, a good book, and her cats.
