Nathaniel is a master of arts in geography student at the University of Ottawa. He was born in raised in Ottawa, Canada, in the traditional unceded lands of the Algonquin peoples. Through his work as a research assistant and in his own research, he aims to better understand and forecast the changes happening in Arctic ecological systems, as well as any social implications, by blending Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (Inuit traditional knowledge) and western science. Developing results which can help inform policy and research needs and be directly useful for local communities is of great importance to Nathaniel.
In his free time, he loves spending time at the cottage—canoeing, hiking, swimming, playing games with friends, and bouldering.
