Growing up in White Rock, a seaside community on the west coast, Marissa was drawn to the strong, serene, and soothing energies of the ocean from an early age. Soon, her love of paddling was born.
Today, Marissa shares her love of nature and the outdoors as a sea kayak and stand up paddleboard (SUP) instructor. She guides backcountry kayaking trips, leads skills clinics for the Women on Water (WOW) paddling festival, and hosts Paddle/Hike/Yoga retreats locally and in Costa Rica. Her biggest thrill is creating experiences that move the soul, while sharing moments that are empowering and transformational.
With a strong sense of community, she is also involved with hosting annual park clean-ups, organizing fundraising events for local charities, and is Chair of the first Parks Advisory Committee for the Municipality of Meaford. Other labours of love include hiking and exploring hidden gems, photography, journaling, live music, and travelling the world.
Marissa is looking forward to embarking on a unique adventure with you. The joy is in the journey! Breathe in and bliss out.
