Lili Ashoona
Inuit Cultural Educator
Lily is proud to call Kinngait home, where family, culture, and community have always been central to her life.
Lily is from Kinngait, Nunavut. She grew up surrounded by the land, ocean, and the beauty of the Arctic, which has always been an important part of who she is. Growing up in a small community taught her the importance of family, culture, community, and helping others. She is proud of where she comes from!
She has always enjoyed been outdoors and learning new things. She is also a self-taught beader and enjoys expressing herself through creativity and the art she creates.
Her biggest accomplishment has been getting the opportunity to work in the Arctic cruise industry and graduate from the Nalunaiqsijiit training program.
Lily is excited about where each journey will take her. Her goal is to continue learning and gain experience. She hopes her experiences will encourage her to keep challenging herself and taking opportunities that will help her grow.
