Gwen was born and raised in Kamloops, British Columbia, and is the youngest in the family with two older brothers. She has grown up adventuring in the outdoors, spending her summers wake surfing and kayaking at the family’s lakeside cabin, and can be found rock-climbing, hiking, and skiing in the cooler weather. Gwen travelled for the first time with Adventure Canada in 2015 and this year will mark her third season working on board.
This summer, Gwen completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. She is very passionate about all aspects of biology, and during her undergraduate degree has completed research in the fields of ecology and human biology. In the fall, Gwen is heading to Guelph, Ontario to complete her Masters of Science in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology.
