Based in Toronto, George travels the world chasing down and documenting Earth’s most extreme weather, natural phenomena, and the effects of climate change.

George is an explorer, storm chaser, and TV presenter who has spent over twenty-five years documenting extreme forces of nature and natural phenomena worldwide including tornadoes, hurricanes, volcanoes, floods, and the effects of climate change. He holds the title of Explorer in Residence for the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, is a National Geographic Explorer, and served as Canadian Chapter Chair of The Explorers Club.

Best known for having hosted the TV series Angry Planet, George is also a regular on-camera contributor for The Weather Network, Science Channel, National Geographic, Discovery, Smithsonian Channel, Netflix, BBC, and many more, usually showcasing nature’s most wild and extreme places, weather, and phenomena.

George has received the Stefansson Medal from The Explorers Club Canadian Chapter, the Leif Erikson Award from the Exploration Museum in Iceland, was awarded a Guinness World Record for his explorations, and Canadian Geographic listed him as one of Canada’s greatest living explorers.
