Garnet is employed by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Canada. He has spent his entire career involved with the conservation and protection of fish and fish habitats throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
Currently, he is the conservation and protection supervisor for Labrador. Although primarily an enforcement role, throughout his career Garnet has been heavily involved with community engagements, Indigenous partnering, youth education, species at risk programs for children, restorative justice, and intelligence networking focused on illegal fishing activities.
When he is not working, you can find Garnet on the land, sea, or ice. An avid sustenance hunter and fisher, Garnet is at ease in vast Labrador environments and looks forward to being a part of your adventure.
