Dru Kennedy
Photographer
Dru is a full-time professional photographer based on the beautiful west coast of Newfoundland.
Dru is a professional photographer and content creator based in the heart of the beautiful Humber Valley on Newfoundland’s west coast, a place that continues to inspire both his work and way of life. As an Indigenous creator, he feels a strong connection to the land, culture, and community around him, and that perspective naturally finds its way into the stories he tells.
What he loves most about this work is that it keeps him exploring home. From quiet hiking trails and wide-open coastal views to the charm of small towns and the energy of a thriving city, he is constantly drawn to the moments in between: the subtle light shifts, the honest expressions, the feeling of a place.
Over the years, he has been fortunate to collaborate with incredible brands including Netflix, Toyota Canada, Burton Snowboards, Canon, GORE-TEX, Parks Canada, and Newfoundland & Labrador Tourism. Whether he is documenting rugged landscapes, dynamic communities, or large-scale projects, Dru’s goal is always the same: create imagery that feels powerful, authentic, and grounded in story.
At home, he is a husband and a proud father of two boys. When Dru is not behind the camera, you’ll usually find him outside snowboarding, hiking, or mountain biking through the incredible landscapes he is lucky to call home.
At the end of the day, he is passionate about creating work that reflects the strength, beauty, and energy of the places we’re proud to call home.
