Andrea Brazeau is an Inuk from Kangiqsualujjuaq, Nunavik. She is passionate about her culture, the land, and education. She loves sharing her culture with people who are keen to learn.

Andrea is an Inuk who was born and raised in the small Inuit community of Kangiqsualujjuaq, Nunavik. Growing up in Kangiqsualujjuaq, she moved to Montreal to attend post-secondary education. After seven years of post-secondary, she obtained a degree in Kindergarten and Elementary education at McGill University where she then went back home to teach in the same school she attended. Andrea is the first university graduate from her community.

Since moving back home in 2021, Andrea has reconnected with her culture and regained her confidence on the land. Being on the land with family and friends is when she feels most grounded. Andrea is proud and passionate about sharing her culture with those who are keen to learn. She believes in the importance of educating people about Inuit and Inuit history, and that education has the power of bringing about an understanding of Inuit and bridging the gap between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Peoples.
