Explore Scotland’s Fibre Arts: Tradition, Craft, and Community
Are you a fibre arts enthusiast seeking an immersive journey into Scotland’s rich craft heritage? Adventure Canada’s exclusive Fibre Arts Program invites you to explore the heart of Scottish textile tradition while travelling along its scenic coastlines.
In a small group of just twelve participants, you’ll visit local crofts, studios, and mills, meeting skilled artisans who bring traditional spinning, weaving, and knitting techniques to life. Watch wool transform as it’s spun, dyed, and woven into beautiful textiles, and experience the magic firsthand by trying these time-honoured methods yourself.
After a day of exploration and learning, unwind in the evenings with engaging on board talks and cozy crafting circles. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned fibre artist, our program offers a welcoming space to learn, share, and create. Bring along your own project or simply enjoy the company of like-minded textile lovers.
Discover the stories behind Scotland’s wool—from its shepherds and producers to its artists—and gain a deeper appreciation of the journey from fibre to fabric.
