    The fog cleared in the afternoon bringing bursts of sunshine and horses—lots and lots of horses! Sable Island's world-famous wild horses were everywhere, galloping and playing among the dunes.

    Some of us enjoyed a peaceful hike to Stanleyville, full of bird songs, wildflowers, and moose droppings, while the rest of us trekked the scenic Trout River Pond trail and caught sight of a few curious snowshoe hares.

    Île Bonaventure was complete with large flocks of northern gannets. The sky was filled with hard-working birds searching for nest supplies. Most of us agreed that we could’ve stayed out there all day listening to the calming sounds of the birds.
