For more than thirty years, Adventure Canada has been a leader in “soft adventure” expedition cruises to some of the Earth’s great wild spaces. We take passengers who are deeply curious about the world we live in, and take them to some of the most extraordinary locations on the planet—in our own inimitable fashion.
It began with a problem: we wanted to visit places like Nunavut, Greenland, Newfoundland & Labrador, the Maritimes, and the north Atlantic. But they were hard to reach. The solution: expedition style travel by ship. We used research vessels and former military ships to visit these regions, so rich in nature and culture.
Always at the forefront of the industry, Adventure Canada has evolved as expedition cruising has matured. Today, our vessels are purpose-built for our unique mode of travel. Zodiac operations are swift and efficient. Rooms are spacious and contemporary.
Versatile educational facilities allow us to deepen our scientific and cultural understanding of the places we go. And amenities, like a pool, spa, hot tub, and sauna ensure relaxation is also part of the program.
But the recipe remains: take an expedition vessel, equip with Zodiacs, provide spaces to educate, and entertain, add good food, and an excellent library. Sprinkle in culturalists representing the region. Combine with scientists, authors, musicians, artists, photographers, historians, and archeologists.
Stir in interested travellers who love to hike, bike, walk, photograph, learn new languages, get creative, meet the locals, sing, dance, explore, examine, and laugh a whole lot.
That’s expedition travel—Adventure Canada style!
