Since her first ship-based expedition in 1987, Jean has shared her passion for the deeply intertwined social and natural histories of eastern and northern Canada. Hailing from Nova Scotia, Jean is active in both environmental stewardship and historic preservation projects. She is a passionate guide and leader of education travel programs, and in the past, she has also worked as a naturalist on whale-watching trips. Entertaining and educational interpretation are second nature to Jean.
Jean has worked for Adventure Canada since 2014 and she loves the challenges and opportunities it brings. Jean is always happy to answer any of your questions about pelagic birds, cetaceans, and cultural history. In her free time, you’ll find her exploring entertaining the bays and coves of Atlantic Canada, camera in hand.
