Alex is a biologist and wildlife health technician at Environment Canada. As a lover of all things Arctic, Alex dedicates his research to understanding how microplastics and other man-made pollutants impact both wildlife and ecosystems in some of the world’s most remote locations.
Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Alex pursued his bachelor's degree in biology at Acadia University. Now living in Ottawa, Ontario, he completed his master of science at Carleton University. Alex has had the privilege to have visited all three Canadian territories and is always eager for the next adventure. He is just as happy travelling to and exploring cities and cultural centres as he is with glaciers and mountains!
