The Nature of Expedition Travel
Expedition travel is characterized by its dynamic, fluid nature and we pride ourselves on our unparalleled adaptability. Zodiacs are used to access the land for shore excursions. During shore excursions, we cater to different activity levels and break into small groups to focus on various areas of interest.
Science in Action
See the effects of climate change up close. Participate in presentations, workshops, and events on the ship and on shore lead by our experts. Dive into varied topics ranging from photography to marine biology to history and gain a deeper understanding by joining our guides out in the field.

Learn from our Leaders
With a 7:1 group to guide ratio, all travellers will have the opportunity to mingle with our animated local experts. We travel with ornithologists, archeologists, historians, geologists, oceanographers, marine mammalogists, and other scientists. Together, we seek to educate and enlighten travellers about our beautiful, fragile world.

Spot the Arctic Big Five
Spot the most spectacular Arctic wildlife on all of our Arctic itineraries! Be prepared for sightings of polar bears, walrus, muskox, beluga whales, and narwhals. When there is a sighting, you will be called out on deck for interpretation from one of our experts—don't forget your binoculars!

Vibrant Communities
We are privileged to work with the people who call the North home—not just on shore, but also aboard. Regional representatives are at the heart of our shipboard staff. Their vibrant culture, language, and local understanding of life and the land are woven into our programming, deepening the connections we form as we go.

Find the Lost Legendary Expedition
Be part of history in a unique and exclusive partnership with Parks Canada. We will be striking out to the legendary wreckage site of the Franklin Expedition’s HMS Erebus on select Arctic expeditions!
Awaken your Senses
Breathe the crisp Arctic air and explore the snow-dusted tundras. Experience the cracking sound of enormous icebergs as they drift and collide. Get up close to vast, frozen glaciers. Prepare to be humbled by majestic fjords and towering mountains. Expand your understanding of the planet, and awaken your sense of discovery.

Enriched Learning
We will provide you with the tools and resources to enrich your learning experience and tailor it to your own tastes whether you are an avid history buff, keen photographer or simply an appreciator of the natural world. We aim to bring you back refreshed and transformed!

Tailor your Adventure
Follow the path or forge your own trail—our diverse travel style will satisfy the adventurous desires of all demographics, activity levels and interests. Enjoy your desired amount of physical activity, leisure, creative and learning time every day. Focus on activities that you love and unleash your sense of adventure!
