Canadian Residents Travelling within Canada

You are required to provide an official proof of vaccination when travelling by air and sea within Canada or when re-entering Canada. See the ArriveCan section below for more details.

  • Two types of proof will be accepted:
    • Federal Canadian COVID-19 proof of vaccination
    • Provincial or territorial COVID-19 proof of vaccination
  • Your proof of vaccination must include the following information:
    • An identifier that clearly references COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination, Vaccination Record Card, or an equivalent phrase on the document
    • The official relevant logo for your province or territory, or the Government of Canada logo (the word “Canada” with the Canadian flag above the last “a”)
    • Your full name and date of birth, which must match the information on your passport or another form of government-issued photo identification
    • Your COVID-19 vaccination history, including
      • The number of dose(s)
      • The vaccine type(s), product name(s), and lot number(s)
      • The date(s) you got your vaccination(s)
  • In addition to the above, we require that you bring a copy of your proof of vaccination, both on your phone or as a physical card or sheet of paper, when joining us on your charter flight or the vessel.

United States Travellers Coming into Canada

Canada has international entry requirements across both land and air borders. See the ArriveCan section below for more details.

You do not need proof of a negative COVID test to enter Canada if you are fully vaccinated.

  • To qualify as a fully vaccinated traveller for entry into Canada, you must:
  • If your proof of vaccination doesn't meet all the above requirements, you will not qualify as a fully vaccinated traveller and will be ineligible to enter Canada.

International (Non-US) Travellers Coming into Canada

Guests arriving to Canada from international destinations (who are not residents of Canada) will be required to complete the ArriveCAN app. Please see the ArriveCan section below for more details.

You do not need proof of a negative COVID test to enter Canada if you are fully vaccinated.

  • If your proof of vaccination document is not in English or French, you need a certified translation in English or French.
    • Your certified translation must include the stamp or membership number of a professional translation association.
    • Details on how to provide your proof of vaccination document translated into English or French can be found on the Government of Canada’s website here: Translation of documents
    • Keep both the original proof of vaccination document and the certified translation with you while you travel.
  • If your proof of vaccination doesn't meet all the above requirements, you will not qualify as a fully vaccinated traveller and will be ineligible to enter Canada.

International Travellers Going Directly to Greenland

If you are travelling aboard High Arctic Explorer (travelling from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland to Resolute, Nunavut, August 2-13, 2022) or Into the Northwest Passage (August 24-September 9, 2022) and will be flying directly to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland to join the vessel (i.e., not joining our charter flight from Toronto, Ontario), please note that you will be entering Canada while on board the vessel and will still be required to present an ArriveCAN application. Please see the ArriveCan section below for more details.

  • Fully vaccinated travellers can enter Greenland. You must have completed a full course of vaccination no later than 14 days beforehand.
  • Fully vaccinated individuals do not need to quarantine or take a PCR test upon arrival to Greenland.
  • It is not necessary to provide a negative test before boarding a commercial flight to Greenland.

Please note, you will be required to take a PCR test administered by Adventure Canada staff prior to boarding the Ocean Endeavour. Please visit the Testing Requirements section of this webpage for more information.

ArriveCAN

All individuals entering Canada by land, air, or sea are required to download and install the ArriveCAN app before arrival. The ArriveCAN app is available for download on iOS and Android devices and can also be accessed through the official canada.ca web portal. To download the app or sign into the web portal, please visit the Government of Canada Website.

Please create your safe traveller profile as soon as you are able. This will make filling out ArriveCan easier during your travel with us. Please see the Creating Your Traveller Profile – ArriveCan document for more details.

If you’re travelling with a group, you can include multiple individuals in the same ArriveCan submission.
