For
a week of no limits and new frontiers join Archaeologist Latonia
Hartery for a Newfoundland expedition designed to encourage girls to
explore the natural and cultural world while acquiring skills to
develop an empowering future.
The AARA and the Big Droke
Foundation announce their 2009 summer program for young girls called
the FINESS Program (Females in Natural Earth and Social Sciences). This
is a mentorship program that teaches young females leadership
qualities, new skills in the fields of science, history, art and
culture, as well as encourages a connection between youth, adults, and
elders. The program occurs over the course of a week in Bird Cove-Pond
Cove region in scenic Northern Newfoundland and focuses intensively on
